“The Office for the post-Brexit era… it strikes a fine balance between realism and absurdity… Any show that succeeds in making immigration or border control funny, even if it means revising your ideas about Ch5, should get everyone’s stamp of approval.”

The i

“Borderline is proof that the mockumentary is alive and well… signals a promising future for C5 comedy.”

The Daily Telegraph ****

“Fresh and funny… It’s a smart way of addressing a hot topic but, more importantly, it’s an entertaining sitcom. On Channel 5!”

Heat ****

“Borderline is the happy surprise of the week… Each of the clearly defined characters is dottier than the last, and the improvised dialogue has a liveliness and bounce that you don’t find in scripted sitcoms.” -

The Times (Critic’s Choice)

As well as being critically acclaimed, Borderline was also a ratings success for C5, helping it to attract a new young male audience:
